CHILD CARE WORKER AND EARLY CHILDHOOD EDUCATOR APPRECIATION DAY is on October 21st 2021!

This day, October 21st 2021 recognizes the commitment, hard work, and qualifications of early childhood educators (ECEs) and all staff who work with children.

Such a day will allow the community to recognize the important work of child care workers and to acknowledge the contributions that child care workers make in the lives of community members.

Children, families and communities benefit from the work of child care workers. Child care also contributes to the economic life of communities. Research shows the many economic benefits accrued from affordable, accessible, licensed, high quality child care.

ECEs and staff have faced pronounced challenges due to the COVID-19 pandemic, on top of the existing ones. But these workers have also risen to the challenge and are rising up to call for better wages, working conditions, and supports for the sector.

This years theme,
we will be celebrating our
