Kwameah Anoush Bennett
Executive Director
Hello, my name is Kwameah Anoush Bennett. I started this journey in the childcare sector when I was 18 years old. I have always had a passion for working with children. I was usually the one having more conversations with the children than the adults. I worked in every age group and even in the kitchen! I graduated from George Brown College and started my career as an RECE in the school-age program in the St. Lawrence area of downtown Toronto. I moved to the Etobicoke area 10 years ago with my husband and 2 children. I have a 10-year-old son and a 20-year-old daughter. I recently became the Director at LCCC in Feb 2020 and it has definitely been a bit of a roller coaster ride, however this really couldn't have been a better time to support this amazing community! A fun fact about me is I secretly want to be a voice actor for children's animated films and TV shows. I pride myself on doing my best to support the families, children, staff and the community. I hope to continue to do so for many years to come.

Annabel Fernandes
Program Supervisor
Hello, my name is Annabel Fernandes. I am the Program Supervisor at LCCC. This centre has always been a part of my life. Watching my mother work here and attending LCCC as a child myself, I knew from a young age that I wanted to work with children. I am glad that I’ve gotten the chance for my career to grow where I grew up in. I graduated from George Brown College in 2013 with a diploma in Early Childhood Education. After graduating, I worked in the Preschool and School-age Rooms. Shortly after I became the Before and After school-age Supervisor which was a goal I had set for myself. I'm glad I could use the knowledge I have gained in rooms to apply it to my new position as a Program Supervisor. I can help my colleagues and the centre attain the goals we have set for ourselves. My background is Portuguese and I speak Portuguese fluently. In my downtime, I enjoy doing Portuguese folklore dancing. I became the leader of the group and we have performed in many different places in Ontario and also travelled to the United States to perform. Travelling has always been a passion of mine. I have been going to Portugal since I was a baby, recently when I travelled to Portugal I have been adding another country to the trip. I can't wait to visit other different countries.

Nadia Monroe
Administrative Assistant
My name is Nadia. My parents migrated to Canada from Jamaica in the late seventies. I've learned a lot from their struggles of being in a new country and all the hard work it took to raise children, work hard and be a part of a community that was all new to them. I hold them responsible for my great work ethic and dedication to my work life and home life. I'm a mother of two boys and have worked at LCCC since 2005. I left in 2007 to pursue my education in Social Work. I returned in 2012 with ease as it's always been like a home to me. I was a School-age teacher until Sept. 2019, it was a great experience for me. I was able to get close and develop a relationship with the children and the parents. Also, I learned how to run a program for such a dynamic group of children. I am currently the Administrative Assistant. I love being able to work in various rooms as well as the kitchen, it allows me to gain more knowledge and experience. My children have also been a part of the LCCC family as children who attended the centre and my eldest son who was a dishwasher. It goes to show that LCCC is an integral part of the community. In my downtime, I enjoy cooking. My passion for cooking has led me to opening my own catering business.
