Darlene
Quetalig

Early Childhood Assistant

Hi, my name is Darlene! It feels great to be part of the LCCC team.

I have over 14 years of experience working with different ages of children. After I got my Hospitality and Business management diploma, I realized that my passion is childcare and found my way back to a daycare setting. Being able to teach your littles ones and being part of their life journey is such a rewarding feeling! My teaching style encourages children to think outside the box, allow children to express themselves and provide a loving nurturing atmosphere. The most important thing is to have fun!

When I’m not at work, I enjoy spending time with my son and family, travelling, listening to music, and cooking! One fun fact about me is: I would love to own a food truck one day! Teacher by day, Foodie by night.

Dana
Travers

Registered Early Childhood Educator

Hi everyone, my name is Dana and I've been an ECE for 3 years now. It is a great pleasure to watch your children grow! I graduated from the Early Childhood Education program at Humber College in 2020. I worked at a private home daycare for 2 years in their Toddler, Jr. Preschool and Sr. Preschool classrooms. I have combined my passion for children and the great outdoors by serving the community as a Beaver Leader with the 1st Lakeshore Beaver Scouts for 6 years, helping to provide young children with the important basic life skills they need to be independent. I believe that children are so special and are developing their own sense of self and opinions about the world, and that in itself can be overwhelming at times for a child. My role as an educator at LCCC, with the help of their wonderful families, is to help your children grow into the strong, confident and emotionally resilient people we know they can be.

My daughter Tyanna (TT) was also a part of the daycare since the toddler room. She enjoyed being part of such a great community. Cathy Noseworthy

Early Childhood Assistant

My name is Cathy. I started out my career in childcare, offering families a safe, loving and nurturing environment in my Etobicoke home that continued for over 15 years.

In 1999 I attended the Learning Enrichment Foundation and obtained my  ECA Certificate.  In 2000 I accepted a position at LCCC and then took many childcare-related courses at St. Lawrence College.  I've had the opportunity to work in School-age, Kindergarten, Preschool and Toddler rooms over the last 20 years. I enjoy every aspect of teaching and have realized in my years that my kids teach us as much as we teach them. In the summer you can find me at my trailer up North tending my garden and enjoying great evenings with friends around our bonfires.
